Let's
look at the big picture when thinking about energy conservation. Why should we care? (1.) Reduce the deficiet in our international balance of payments, (2.) Shore up our economy by reducing the amount of money we spend on energy, (3.) Attempt to head off global climate change, (4.) Attempt to reduce our exposure to terrorists.
Terrorists, who can disrupt the energy reserves in the world, are far more scary than the terror that strikes one's heart when one thinks about having to drive a smaller something other than a Hummer or SUV.
