Description   The Lab Partner Plus was shipped with either of the following, non chargeable 2.5 volt Lithium Ion batteries, which are no longer available, or a custom made rechargeable NiCd batterry pack.  Now that 3.6 volt Li-Ion batteries are available in the AA size, the Lab Partner can be made to run on these long lasting, but non rechargeable batteries.  However, to make this modification, the Lab Partner must be sent back to the factory to be modified.  Regardless of which version you have, by all means DO NOT remove your batteries and install the new 3.6 volt batteries directly into your Lab Partner.  To do so will quickly send your Lab Partner to an early demise. Lab Partner upgrade involves sending your Lab Partner to nuSun, inc. and having it modified so that it can use commonly found Lithium Ion batteries.
